Council initiates review of roundabout sponsorships in Limerick

Local representative expresses concerns at maintenance of some rotaries

LIMERICK City and County Council has initiated a review of all roundabout sponsorships across the city.

Cllr Joe Leddin noted there is a difference in quality and appearance of some junctions, and asked what criteria is used to monitor them.

Senior engineer Aidan Finn wrote all the sponsorships which are given out include a maintenance plan which is monitored by council throughout the year. He acknowledged some designs vary, require different levels of maintenance and have different challenges.
