Exports on the agenda at Local Enterprise Office Limerick meeting

EXPORTS and market development were the two topics on the agenda at a special morning event held by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Limerick.
Small to medium-sized business owners, microexporters and local entrepreneurs were all in attendance at the event in the Engine hub at Cecil Street in the city centre.
As part of the event, there were a number of guest panelists who gave advice on information, connections and the resources needed to execute a successful export strategy.
Among the speakers were Patrick McMahon of Enterprise Ireland, Ann Dooley of the Enterprise Europe Network and Denise Mahon of Intertrade Ireland.
LEO Limerick's head of enterprise Mike Cantwell said the event also represented an opportunity for his agency to share recent changes to the products available to businesses which can help company owners strengthen their firm's digital presence, aid energy efficiency, and support exports.
"There's a range of different support changes that are happening for LEO Limerick. But we also want to encourage businesses to consider export as an option to grow their business going forward," he said.
An added benefit to the event was the opportunity for attendees to network among Limerick's entrepreneurial and business community, giving the chance to share ideas and discuss issues and initiatives in local enterprise.
The event proved to be a highlight for clients as they prepare for busy summer months ahead.
