HUNDREDS of homes across Limerick are without electricity this Tuesday night due to two separate faults.

According to ESB Networks' Powercheck, 238 customers in the Caherconlish area have been in the dark since just before 9.20pm while 151 customers in the Kildimo/Ferrybridge area have been without a supply since 8.42pm.

Crews have been dispatched and the utility says it is currently working to repair the faults in order to restore power as quickly as possible.

It is hoped both locations will have a full supply again sometime in the early hours of Wednesday.

Separately, power has been restored to more than 500 homes and business which were impacted by another fault on Tuesday night.

That fault, in the Caherelly area, was reported at 8.50pm and supply was restored just under half an hour later.

ESB Networks has apologised to customers who have been impacted.
