A CHILEAN singer based in Limerick has dedicated his latest single to the LGBT+ community "and its fight for equality and self-love".

Florencio André, who is a member of the Chilean Way musical collective, has brought out his new release to chime in with Limerick Pride which takes place in the city this weekend.

The song, 'Free', he said is: "A song inspired by the LGBT+ community and its fight for equality and self-love."

"Free is a powerful and soulful track that combines psychedelic guitar riffs with meaningful lyrics. The song talks about the importance of accepting ourselves and others without prejudice or discrimination, and the need to feel free to be who we really are," he explained.

Florencio will perform his new single on Saturday night, after the Pride parade in The Commercial Bar.

"I wanted to make a song that reflected a true story for such an important cause," he added.

The single 'Free' is now available on streaming platforms.

It was composed by Florencio and co-produced and mixed by Pedro Antivíl.
