MOTORISTS on one of the busiest commuter routes in Limerick city are being warned to expect possible delays due to road works over the coming week.

Limerick City and County Council has issued a public notice advising road users that a traffic management plan will be in place during the works at Clonmacken Roundabout on the outskirts of the city.

The roundabout is located on one of the main arteries for traffic approaching the city from County Clare.

According to the notice, the scheduled works, which begin this Monday, are scheduled to continue until Wednesday, January 26.

The roundabout will remain open during the works and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Separately, the local authority says roadworks will continue at several other locations across the city and county this week.

It has apologised for any inconvenience that may be caused during the works
