Limerick motorists warned of traffic disruption due to Uisce Éireann repair works

MOTORISTS are being advised of possible delays later this week due to repair works which are being undertaken by Uisce Éireann.
As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, mains repair works will take place at O'Connell Avenue and South Circular Road in the city from 9am on Tuesday.
The State utility says the works, which will continue until 4pm, are likely to cause supply disruptions to Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road and surrounding areas.
Limerick City and County Council, which is working with Uisce Éireann to carry out the works, says a traffic management plan will be in place but that delays can be expected.
Separately, leak detection works are scheduled to take place at Dock Road, Limerick between 1am and 5am on Wednesday. Again, a traffic management plan will be in operation.
Householders and businesses whose water supply is impacted during the works are being advised to allow up to three hours for normal service to be restored.
