Limerick woman wows with inspiring weight loss story on Late Late Show

THE story of a County Limerick woman who shed a staggering 96 pounds in weight has captured the imagination of the country after her appearance on the Late Late Show.
Kilbehenny woman Trisha Lewis was the first guest on last Friday night's show when she spoke to host Ryan Tubridy about her year of weight loss.
She captivated the audience with her amazing success story and received a standing ovation after she had finished speaking.
Speaking about her TV experience, Trisha said it was “a moment of a lifetime”.
“It was incredible. I couldn’t believe it when I got the call. They asked me first did I want to be in the audience. They then bumped me up to an appearance to the end of the show, and then the start of the show,” said Trisha.
“It was something on my bucket list. Something I always wanted to do. Ryan said to me before the show, ‘do you want to go with the script or just wing it', and we winged it. It was brilliant,” Trisha added.
Trisha was 26 stone when she decided to lose weight.

“I had been gaining weight all my life. I tried a lot of different routes. I tried the gym, diet pills and I even booked myself in for a gastric bypass but I backed out last minute,” Trisha said.
“I made the decision to change when I saw a scan of my unborn nephew. It scared me because I wanted him to know me growing up,” she added.
Trisha has amassed 12,000 followers on her Instagram page, Trisha’s Transformation, which she set up after setting a goal of losing 100 pounds (7.1stone).
“I work out for half an hour, four days a week. I’ve been doing it for 11 months now. If you add that up that's 100 hours. Seven stone, or 98 pounds, in 100 hours. I improved my diet too. I’m eating more than I ever have, but it’s healthy,” Trisha said.
Trisha says the change has done wonders for her mental health.
“I feel like a different human now. Before, I didn’t think I could get any lower. Now, I don’t think I’ve ever been higher,” Trisha added.
