Man charged over fatal assault at rented property close to Limerick border
A MAN in his 20s has been charged over a fatal assault that took place at a residence near the Limerick border.
He is due to appear before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court this Saturday evening at 5pm.
Earlier in the week, gardai had arrested a man in his 20s about the discovery of a body at a home in Ballycrana, Kilross, shortly after 4am on Wednesday.
It's understood the deceased party was living at the house located in a rural area close to Galbally village in Co Limerick.
Gardai confirmed the arrested man was currently detained at a garda station in the Munster region under Section four of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The results of a post mortem examination carried out at Waterford University Hospital were not released publicly for operational reasons.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
