Man hospitalised following collision between car and e-scooter on busy Limerick road

A MAN in his twenties has been taken to hospital following a collision involving an e-scooter and a car in Limerick city.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision on the Ballysimon Road at approximately 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.

In a statement the Garda Press Office confirmed that a man in his 20s, who was travelling on the e-scooter, was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

It is understood he is being treated for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
