After the success of last year’s calendar, Claire Guinan’s art group are launching their 2027 Art for the Soul calendar.

Last year the group raised €3237 and this year they are hoping to match it.

All proceeds from the sale of the calendar, which has been kindly sponsored by an anonymous donor, will be donated directly to Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) to help fund their work in providing timely and affordable counselling services to people across the Midlands.

Claire Guinan is an artist, illustrator and jeweller from Tullamore, now based in her Athlone studio. She loves portraiture.

Her own work shares a deep-rooted link to music, poetry, stories or memories. Her commission work captures important moments baby drawings, portraits of loved ones, wedding

dresses and much more.

Many of her art students have been coming to her classes since 2008. The group meet every Wednesday night in Tullamore Tennis club to create their beautiful artworks.

Claire has always encouraged her students to choose their own medium and subject matter, and says this has resulted in each student developing “their own style” and creating “a beautiful mix of styles and subjects”.

Their beautiful work will be showcased in this beautiful charity calendar for ACT.

The calendar, which costs €10, will be on sale on Saturday the 14th of November around Tullamore in The Bridge Centre, Esker Arts and Midland Books. It’s also available from all the group members or from Claire’s website www.claireguinan.com or [email protected]
