Plans for two homes beside Limerick village pub on the border

THERE are plans for two new homes to be built behind a pub in Oola village, Limerick.
Una and Bernard Hogan, the proprietors of Hogan’s Bar in the village, have sought planning permission from Limerick City and County Council for the development adjacent to their pub on the main N24 Tipperary Road.
Under the proposals, a small single-storey store to the south-east of the bar will be replaced with residential accommodation spread over two levels.
This will join to the present first floor level over the pub which will be used as the publicans’ private family home.
Two, two-storey semi-detached houses will be constructed on a vacant site to the rear of the pub.
A decision is due to be made by November 28 next.
