Prescription medication stolen from car in Limerick

PRESCRIPTION medication was stolen from a car while the driver was stopped at a petrol station in Limerick.
On Saturday, October 7 a lady in her late 50s parked her car in the forecourt of a petrol station on the Dublin Road.
Suddenly, another woman who is known to the car owner, sat into the front seat of her car.
This woman was chatting away and then she left as suddenly as she had sat in. Afterwards, the car owner realised that her prescription drugs had been taken from the front passenger well of the car.
This lady was shocked at how quickly her medication was taken.
Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street garda station said: "I see some female drivers place their handbags on the passenger seat, this is never a secure place for it.
"This incident shows that any item of property could be a target if a criminal wants it, put all your property into the boot of your car before you begin your journey."
