Registration plates stolen from car parked in Limerick estate
INFORMATION is being sought by gardai who are investigating the theft of registration plates from a parked car.
The front and back registration plates were stolen from a white Volkswagen Golf which was parked outside a house at Sorbonne Green, College Court, Castletroy sometime between 9pm last Wednesday (November 16) and 7am the following morning.
"The registration plates begin with the numbers 09L and it would have taken the thief a number of minutes to unscrew the registration plates and take them from the car," said Garda John Finnerty who is appealing for anyone with information about what happened to come forward.
"If you did come across any unusual activity around this area at any stage between 9pm last Wednesday and 7am last Thursday then please make contact with the Gardai at Henry Street station. They can be reached at 061 212400," he said.
One fear that gardai have is that the stolen plates will be attached to another similar car which will be used in the commission of a crime.
