Road reopens after truck strikes rail bridge in Limerick

THE KILMALLOCK Road has now reopened after a lorry struck a rail bridge in Limerick city this Wednesday morning.
A garda spokesperson said they attended the scene of a road traffic incident involving a lorry at approximately 10.15am.
"There were no reports of injuries. The road has reopened," said the garda spokesperson.
The lorry was severely damaged in the collision with the rail bridge close to the Kilmallock Road roundabout. Long tailbacks ensued as traffic was reduced to one lane under the bridge.
The collision added to traffic delays in the city due to dangerous driving conditions during Storm Agnes.
A status yellow wind warning is place for all of Munster until midnight as people are being warned of fallen trees and difficult driving conditions.
