Motorists advised of delays and diversions due to R516 Croom to Bruff road closure

"SIGNIFICANT delays" are to be expected during a week-long road closure of the R516 Croom to Bruff road.

Limerick City and County Council advise motorists and road users that works, located at the Tullovin Bridge on the R516 Croom to Bruff Road, will be ongoing from Wednesday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 25.

From 7am to 9pm each day, surface works will take place from the N20 interchange at Croom to the R512 junction at Bruff.

Motorists can divert via the N20 at Croom to the R518 at O’Rourke’s Cross to the R512 at Kilmallock and onto the R516 Junction at Main Street Bruff.

"A road closure and diversion route traffic management operation will be in place for the duration of the works with local access only accommodated," the Limerick City and County Council notice reads.

"Motorists are advised that significant delays are expected during this period. Any inconvenience caused is regretted with delays expected."

These road works were expected to start a number of weeks ago but were delayed.
