Speed ramps to be installed on busy Limerick road
FOUR speed ramps are to be installed along a busy thoroughfare in Limerick city.
The ramps, which are used to help regulate the speed of vehicles, will be installed at four locations from the entrance of Hyde Road at Childers Road inbound to the city centre to its turn into Carey's Road.
The locations of these will be at the city side of Crecora Avenue, the city side of Lenihan Avenue, between Byrne Avenue and Lenihan Avenue, and on the Childers Road side of Meagher Avenue.
The information was contained in a written answer from council senior engineer Sean McGlynn at this month's metropolitan district council meeting.
It arose following a question from Fianna Fail councillor Catherine Slattery.
