THE CORONAS have announced their return to Limerick's King Johns Castle to celebrate Riverfest weekend next summer.

The band formed when its members were back in school some 20 years ago, and their achievements since then include three consecutive albums that debuted at no1 on the Irish charts, performances for two US Presidents, 15 years of  sold-out Christmas holiday shows that have become an annual Dublin tradition, and a worldwide fan base that stretches from their native Ireland across Europe to North America, Australia and beyond.

The Coronas have previously released seven studio albums: Heroes or Ghosts in 2007, Tony Was an Ex-Con in 2009, Closer To You in 2011, The Long Way in 2014, Trust The Wire in 2017, True Love Waits in 2020, and Time Stopped in 2022.

Their first three albums were released via the independent Irish label 3ú Records, the fourth on Island Records, while the fifth marked their return to the independent route with the launch of their own imprint, SoFarSoGood Records, distributed by Blix Street Records.

Their last three albums each debuted at no1 on the Irish charts.

Speaking at the launch Mick Dolan said "The Riverfest weekend is one of the best weekends in the calendar, Moncrieff last year was one of the highlights of the summer”.

“The Coronas are an amazing live band, and we are delighted to have them back,” he continued.

The concert will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Tickets, which cost €59.50 plus booking fees, go on sale Friday, November 1 at 10am from www.dolans.ie or www.ticketmaster.ie.
