Galty Castle, Glenstal and Greenfield are also set to benefit with funds invested in their upkeep as well as trail repairs and verge cutting at Liskennet.

Minister Collins said over the last five years, Government has provided funding of over €16 million to support and maintain Coillte’s wonderful recreational forests and amenities around the country and in Limerick, which is very welcome.

“This announcement is good news for many of these recreational amenities in Limerick. They are wonderful assets that both visitors and local communities themselves enjoy on a daily basis and they are a hugely important element of the outdoor recreation sector in Limerick,” said Mr Collins.
