Searches are continuing at a number of locations for the Moyross native
DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance and suspected murder of 39-year-old Limerick woman Carrie Mullane (Noonan) have made two further arrests this Sunday.
The Moyross native has been missing since her arrival in Enniskillen on October 10. Her family in Limerick have made several appeals on social media in an effort to locate her.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said a man, aged in his 30s, and a woman, aged in her 60s, were arrested on suspicion of murder in the Enniskillen area.
“Both remain in police custody at this time,” said the PSNI spokesperson.
A 35-year-old man arrested on Tuesday, November 3 has since been charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a corpse.
Ms Mullane is known to have travelled to Enniskillen and since then there have been no confirmed sightings of her, nor has she been in touch with family or friends.
Detective Superintendent Richard Thornton from the Police Service’s Serious Crime Branch, says this is extremely out of character for Carrie and has led to grave concerns for her safety.
“Our investigation into locating Carrie remains ongoing. Our enquiries to date have not established her whereabouts and have led us to hold serious concern that Carrie may have been murdered sometime after her arrival in Northern Ireland.
“Searches are continuing at a number of locations and detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team continue to work closely with colleagues from An Garda Síochána in a bid to bring Carrie home,” said Det Supt Thornton.
He is appealing to anyone who has any information or footage that could assist in finding Carrie, to please get in touch with the PSNI. Information can also be provided online at https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals
