WATCH: Limerick Rose hopefuls on tour ahead of selection night

THE 2023 Limerick Rose hopefuls have been touring the county as they get ready for the big selection night.

On Saturday, the Limerick Rose of Tralee Centre brought all Rose applicants to a number of local businesses and charities throughout the city and county.

The group enjoyed breakfast at the Woodlands Hotel in Adare before moving on to King John's Castle in Limerick city and then a tasty lunch at the George Hotel.

They also met with staff at Dochas as well as the International Rugby Experience. They got their photo taken at the People's Park before a demonstration at Pressed Flowers by Nell and finally they finished off their day with dinner at Oahu.

The 2023 Limerick Rose will be selected at a gala event in the Woodlands Hotel, Adare on Sunday, April 23. Tickets are on sale now.

The winner of the selection will be guaranteed a spot on the stage in Tralee as there are no regional rounds in the competition this year.

The winning Rose will be selected by judges Bree Richardson, 2010 Limerick Rose, John Marren of the Rose of Tralee Escort Team and Nell Stritch, owner of Pressed Flowers by Nell.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival 2023 will take place from August 19 to 23.

In 2019, Limerick Rose Sinead Flanagan won the festival in what was the last competition before the world went into lockdown, and became the 60th International Rose of Tralee.
