'We are all rooting for him': Patrick O'Donovan in ICU in Limerick

Priomh-chomhairleoir offers solidarity as O’Donovan continues to battle in hospital
SUPPORT is continuing to pour in for Communications Minister Patrick O’Donovan, who is now in the intensive care unit at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) this Thursday.
The Limerick TD was rushed by ambulance on Tuesday to the hospital after a suspected seizure.
He remains under close watch there.
Priomh-chomhairleoir and Fine Gael councillor Tom Ruddle, a close friend of Mr O’Donovan’s said: “We are all rooting for him”.
“He’s done tremendous work around the county here in Limerick, not just his own area but all of Limerick. He’s done an awful lot of work around the Ryder Cup. It’s very important for next year that we see him back to full health again. He has led the charge on that,” Cllr Ruddle.
Both Cllr Ruddle and Mr O’Donovan are based in Newcastle West and the priomh-chomhairleoir said his constituency office is open as normal.
“He is a great supporter to all the councillors out this way. Anything we need to get done on a national level, Patrick runs a very good office around here. Peronally, he is one of the nicest fellas you’d ever meet. The Newcastle West branch wish him all the best and a speed recovery and we hope he’ll be back sooner rather than later,” Cllr Ruddle added.
