'It will be an inconvenience for a few months to get the works complete'

Independent County Councillor Cahir Andy Moloney has advised people to allow more time to their journey as he explains the upcoming road works from the Poulmucka junction in 3 phases towards Clonmel.

Sharing a post to Facebook, he said: "People have been asking about the upcoming roadworks on the N24 so here are the main points. The first phase will be road restructuring from the Poulmucka junction in 3 phases towards Clonmel.

"Traffic management in place and any road closures (if any) are asked to be at night time. This stretch of road has a collision rate twice that of any stretch and needs work asap.

"While it has taken years to get to this stage, it will be an inconvenience for a few months to get the works complete. Please allow more time for your journey but no doubt alternative routes will be found by motorists so travel with care."
