ALERT: Tipperary people hit with water supply issues on New Year's Eve

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply to customers supplied by the Templetney Water Supply Scheme.

Crews have repaired one burst on the network and are working to locate and fix an additional leak.

The following areas are affected:

Redmondstown

Priorstown

Caherclough Housing Estate

Tikincor

Newtownanner

Killaloan

Repairs are expected to be completed by 6pm of January 1, 2025, however it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned outage.

An alternative drinking water supply will be available in Redmondstown from 5pm on Tuesday, December 31.

Anyone taking water from the tanker is advised to bring their own containers and to boil the water before use as a precaution.

Uisce Éireann’s Colin Cunningham assured customers that repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible. “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal supply to customers affected.”
