Good news!

"A nice Sunday ahead for most, up to 23C in nice hazy sunny spells," says forecaster Alan O'Reilly.

Latest weather models show some higher rainfall totals up to Thursday with more showers on Tuesday and Thursday but still low amounts for most.

The warm air doesn’t last long over Ireland as it moves back over the Irish Sea and stays East of us.

Alan added: "Just to be clear I never said there would be a heatwave that requires five days over 25C but I thinks some others may have got carried away and mentioned the word.

"Enjoy the fine day Sunday and the week ahead doesn’t look too bad.

"Still uncertainty on the details beyond Monday and next weekend is very hard to call yet so if making plans don’t rely on any single app or forecast this far out."
