Report from the courts

A Tipperary man has been jailed for three years by Nenagh Circuit Court for having cocaine for sale or supply.

John Walsh of Coille Bheithe, Nenagh, was convicted by a jury last week of having the drug at Nenagh Fire Station on January 17, 2018.

Mr Walsh was given a 12-month concurrent sentence for possession of cocaine on the same date.

He was found not guilty by the jury of having cocaine valued at more than €13,000 for sale or supply on the same date.

A co-accused Michael Morgan of Cluain Mhuillean, Nenagh, was found not guilty of the same charges by the jury last week.
