Former Tipperary Town Deputy Mayor and Councillor, Peadar O’Donnell, has confirmed his intention to contest the election for the Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel LEA, due to take place early next year.

Speaking exclusively to The Nationalist’s Tipp Town Correspondent, Martin Quinn, the former Tipp Town Ccuncillor said that he will be knocking on doors in the very near future with the aim of taking a seat in the 2024 Local Elections.

“Since the Town Councils were abolished the people feel that they have been let down by those currently in power. I will speak for the elderly and for those who are in care and in nursing homes, and for those who have no one to speak out for them.

“I have heard many stories from people who have been forgotten about and I will be seeking answers for those people.

“I will tell it as I see it and I will be in nobody’s pocket. There are many, many problems facing the people in the area of the Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District and I will listen to the people and will work hard for them.

“The last couple of years have been very hard on people and I am here to listen to them and to work on their behalf. I will still know the people when the election is over,” concluded O’Donnell.
