Carrick-on-Suir’s St Patrick’s Day Parade will start from the car park next to the town’s Library at Greenside at 1pm on Friday.

It will be led by newly crowned All-Ireland U-22 women’s boxing champion Chantelle Robinson from Castle View, Carrick-on-Suir.

The parade route will be New Street, Main Street through the West Gate and down Kickham Street.

Once it reaches the N24, large floats and vehicles will take the roadworks diversion route through Ard Mhuire to return to the Library car park. Other parade entries will travel along the N24 to the finish.

The organisers plan some children’s entertainment at the Library car park at the end of the parade.

People travelling to Carrick-on-Suir to watch the parade are advised to park their cars in the New Street and William Street Car Parks.
