Halloween beckons at Thurles Farmers’ Market

Halloween beckons next weekend – we will have some pumpkins and turnips for you to carve as part of the Halloween Tradition.

The Thurles Farmers’ Market Conker Championship will also be held next Saturday if you’d like to play a round of conkers.

We have some on hand for Saturday morning as well as some Apple Bobbing for the brave!

Our Christmas Market will be held on Saturday, December 7, with Santa due to visit with a little gift for children between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

Any person interested in taking a Craft or Food Stall please call 087 270 1689. Marie Hartnett will be with us on December 7, 14 and 21, but be sure to order early as due to the superb quality of her table centrepieces, mantelpiece displays and wreaths she gets her order book filled pretty quickly.

Hammersley’s the same for turkeys and hams. More in the weeks ahead.

Mary offers the usual excellent range of baked goods from quiche to cakes, tarts to breads, scones to eclairs.

The Hammersley’s also offer a great range of locally produced meats – pork, chicken, beef and lamb all available in a range of products.

Michael has a huge range of vegetables, fruit, eggs, honey and juices. Sprouts are now in season! TJ Donnelly is the one to contact for your winter fuel needs – custom orders can be delivered.

We look forward to seeing you at our Market at the Greyhound Stadium, every Saturday morning between 9am and 12.30pm – the ChrisT Coffee truck is on-site with a range of hot and cold beverages available seven days a week.
