Check out Carrick-on-Suir's Brewery Lane Theatre's plans for Culture Night
The theatre is hosting a children's art competition and will screen an Ukrainian animation film
Carrick-on-Suir’s Brewery Lane Theatre is running an art competition for children aged between five and 12-years-old as part of its Culture Night celebrations for Friday, September 20.
The theme of the competition is Embracing Our Differences.
Art entries can be in any media (paint, pencils, crayons, collage, print, etc) but have to be A4 size.
The child’s name and age, parent or guardian’s name and contact number must be printed on the back.
Artwork must be handed in to Kathleen Farrell’s Art Studio on Chapel Street, Carrick-on-Suir by 5pm on Friday, September 13.
Entries will be judged in two age categories: 5-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs and the winners will be announced at 8pm on Culture Night.

Brewery Lane will also host the screening of the Ukrainian animation film “Mavka -The Forest Song” at 6pm on September 20.
The English language film is set in an enchanted Ukrainian forest where a spirited nymph – Mavka - falls in love with Lucas, a village artist.
Their forbidden romance faces challenges from disapproving spirits and Mavka's protective father. As a dark force threatens the forest, Mavka and Lucas embark on a journey to save their worlds, learning about love, bravery, and the interconnectedness of nature.

This heart-warming animated adventure celebrates teh power of love and harmony between humans and the natural world.
It boasts stunning visuals and a magical soundtrack.
