Councillor calls for end to anti-social behaviour at Carrick-on-Suir playground

Council has carried out clean up and is now carrying out minor repair at playground
A councillor has slammed anti-social behaviour in Carrick-on-Suir playground and appealed for it to stop.
Cllr David Dunne issued the call at Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District’s monthly meeting after praising the council for the clean up it carried out at the playground located at the Fair Green in Carrick.
“It’s great to see the playground being cleaned up again but I appeal to people to stop engaging in anti-social behaviour there.”
He spoke of his dismay at seeing the playground’s equipment being misused and abused when he brought his grandchild to play there.
“People at this have to stop,” he declared.
District Engineer Denis Power responded that the council would speak to the gardaí about the anti-social behaviour.
He told The Nationalist that in addition to the clean up, the council is currently carrying out minor repairs at the playground.
