A Tipperary county councillor has raised concerns over the drop in Garda numbers throughout Tipperary.

Labour’s Cllr Fiona Bonfield has said that she is concerned about the declining number of Gardaí in Tipperary.

“Recent numbers show a decrease in Garda numbers in the Tipperary / Clare Division,” she said.

Cllr Bonfield said that the Government must act swiftly to reverse this trend.

"A strong Garda presence is essential for instilling confidence in our town's safety, and supporting local businesses. Our safety cannot be compromised any further,” she said.
