He has bundles of experience and thrives in physical battles and was part of a unit which kept Borris to a relatively small total of 1-15.

I've waxed lyrical plenty of times already about him, but he was in fantastic form again the last day out, and while Kiladangan made a hero out of him by hitting high ball his direction so often, he distributed possession brilliantly and this is an aspect of his game that has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. A class act.

Lorcan Egan (Loughmore Castleiney) Another cog in the impressive defensive wheel for Loughmore, Egan had a fine outing and was part of a mean performance by the back six the last day out. Playing into the breeze in the first half, it proved that the 1-9 conceded was a significant score as Borris struggled to gain any foothold in attack in the second half, and Egan was involved in a lot of good defensive moments. A really solid performer.

John Meagher (Loughmore Castleiney) Meagher has been a regular on the team of the week and he put on another assured performance at centre-back last weekend. There probably isn't a better club centre-back in the county based on his constant level of high performances over the last few years. He just oozes composure and class on the ball and he gives confidence to everyone around him. An extremely reliable operator.
