EVENTS: Cork-based artist to hold exhibition in South Tipperary Arts Centre

The exhibition by Cork City-based artist Sarah Long will run from March 1 until April 17
Next week the South Tipperary Arts Centre in Clonmel will open a new exhibition in the centre by a Cork-based artist, Sarah Long.
The exhibition, which is titled 'I will not flower', presents an installation of painting and sound that reflects on the potential allegorical qualities of the fern plant.
Sarah Long's art is also concerned with the idea of the landscape as a receptacle of human ideas, a place where nature and allegory are intrinsically intertwined.
She makes drawings, paintings, installations and moving image work that reflect on the present relationship with the Irish landscape.
The exhibition will run in the arts centre from March 1 until April 17.
