First-year Tipperary students run mock referendum

First-year Naomh Eithne CSPE class held a mock referendum in the week leading up to the country-wide vote last week. After extensive research and presentation on all aspects of the proposed amendments, the girls ran a mock referendum, cast their votes, held a mock count and returned a ‘No’ vote on both amendments.

They learned about the amendments, but also about all aspects involved in holding a referendum and the importance of casting your vote. Well done to all of the girls on their amazing work and to their mentor, Ms Susan McGee.
