GOOD LUCK! Tipperary firefighter to represent Ireland at World Police & Fire Games in Alabama

Templemore firefighter heads to Alabama to compete on the world stage
Firefighter Paddy Clavin of the Templemore Brigade is set to represent Tipperary and Ireland on the international stage this week as he heads to Birmingham, Alabama, to compete in the prestigious World Police & Fire Games (WPFG).
Paddy, who is pictured fifth from the right in a team photo shared by Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service, will compete in the 86 kg open class division on Friday morning.
The WPFG is an Olympic-style competition that brings together thousands of first responders from around the world. Participants include firefighters, law enforcement officers, border protection agents, corrections officers, and other emergency services personnel.
The event promotes camaraderie, fitness, and international cooperation among those who serve and protect their communities.
Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service extended their best wishes to Paddy in a post on social media, stating, "We wish Paddy the very best of luck and we will keep you all updated on his progress."
The Templemore crew proudly posed outside their station holding the Irish tricolour emblazoned with "Templemore Fire Station," a show of local pride and solidarity as one of their own competes on a global stage.
