There's good news for Ballyporeen's public toilets that are in "quite poor condition".

Cllr Máirín McGrath has said: "I’m glad to confirm that €20,000 has been allocated for the upgrading of Ballyporeen public toilets.

"The toilets on Church Street are currently in quite poor condition and not wheelchair accessible. The money, allocated from the annual development contributions fund, will see works carried out this year to renovate the bathrooms and make them accessible to all members of the public.

"The footpath along this street is also in bad repair and due to be redone this year also."
