International cyclocross returns to Tipperary venue this weekend

Wonderful opportunity and spectacle for the general public
Cyclocross is a fast-growing sport in Ireland that is super-friendly for kids to compete in and very-spectator friendly.
This coming weekend, October 14 and 15, provides a wonderful opportunity and spectacle for the general public to come along and see at first hand this exciting sport at the UCI C2 International Cyclocross.
It will be based again in Powerstown Racecourse, Clonmel, and the organisers cannot thank The Irish Coursing Club and Powerstown enough for providing the venue, which has plenty of space to view and park.
The event itself is sponsored by Vergesport, The Cycologist, Boston Scientific, Tipperary County Council, Cycling Ireland and Cycling Munster. Clonmel Cycling Club and Slievenamon Cycling club have come together to run the event.
This is the third year of the event that will attract 350 riders and 20 international pro riders from Belgium, USA, UK and Germany.
We are very happy to have Anna Kay returning this year, along with Jente Michels. Also, we have the best Irish riders coming to compete including Dean Harvey, Caoimhe May and Aine Doherty.
Along with great racing over two days we will have Giant E-Bikes to try out and also a chance to win a Giant bike. All people have to do is pop along to The Cycologist Tent over the two days.
Saturday will be dedicated to underage riders from Under 6 up to Under 16, while Sunday will see Masters riders and Elite riders race. Races start at 11am.
