Irish Cancer Society seeking volunteers in local Tipperary town

The ICS is looking for volunteers for Daffodil Day
The Irish Cancer Society is appealing to the public in the Thurles town area for help out on Friday, March 28.
You can help by donations of daffodils, money, or time for a couple of hours at various locations in the local shopping centres within the town on the day.
They say it is an invaluable income to The Irish Cancer Society who only receive 5% government funding.
A spokesperson for the Irish Cancer Society said: “In partnership with our donors, supporters and volunteers, our fundraising team works hard to raise the over €20 million needed annually to fund the vital services we provide to cancer patients and their families.
“Daffodil Day is our headline fundraiser every year and we are always blown away by the generosity and support of our volunteers, fundraisers and the Irish public.”
