Irish language youth club will resume in Tipperary next week

Broad range of activities are organised including sports, games, art, drama and music
Cumann na bhFiann Clonmel, the Irish language youth club in the town, has gone from strength to strength since it started last September, with young people of all ages coming to the club.
The club runs every Wednesday in Clonmel and will resume after the Christmas break next Wednesday evening, January 24.
It is held at the Sisters of Charity School in Mary Street and there are two clubs, one for younger people (ages 10-12) which runs from 6.30-8pm and the older club (ages 13-18), which operates from 7.30-9pm.
A broad range of activities are organised including sports, games, art, drama and music.
Not only do the young people have fun at the club, but they also get the opportunity to use the Irish they have in an enjoyable environment, while picking up new words and phrases as they go.
The club builds the young people’s confidence, both in their use of the language and in themselves, as they gain personal, social and creative skills through fun, active participation in a safe environment. The club will continue until April.
All new members are welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Órlaith on 087-7839853.
