Irish poets teach these Tipperary students a thing or two about the power of poetry

Our sixth year English students were treated to a fabulous day of poetry as they enjoyed a visit from local poet Larry Doherty and Waterford poet Molly Twomey as part of Thurles Circling the Square Poetry Festival.
Molly enlightened our students as she spoke to them about the power of poetry and what it meant to her.
Both Molly and Larry read some of their own poetry, which our students found very moving.
They deemed the whole occasion a superb experience, and one, which allowed them to re-assess their perceptions of poetry.
