Jack Chambers holds meeting with local General Election candidate in Tipperary hotel

The event was held by Fianna Fáil in the Cahir House Hotel this morning
The Cahir House Hotel was full of life around 8am this morning, Friday 11th October, as Minister for Finance Jack Chambers and local Fianna Fáil candidate Imelda Goldsboro held a breakfast meeting for business owners and stakeholders around South Tipperary. In attendance also was Fianna Fáil Member of the European Parliament for the South constituency, Cynthia Ní Mhurchú.
Both the Finance Minister and Imelda Goldsboro spoke of the future of business in the South Tipperary area.
Mr. Chambers started the morning by showing his support for local Fianna Fáil candidate Imelda Goldsboro stating "she's been a good advocate for children with autism and their parents. She has also done a lot across her local community in the last few years".
Speaking on the topic of Budget 2025, Mr. Chambers said "we decided to prioritise putting money back into people's pockets, we increased personal tax credits to €125."
"People need a good job, high quality public services and somewhere to call a home. We need to invest in infrastructure for the future like public transport, health services and water infrastructure. We put €1.25 billion into the land equity agency to ensure we have homes. We are doing everything possible and this year we'll have delivered over 40,000 homes".
Fianna Fáil South Tipperary candidate Imelda Goldsboro said "I'm acutely aware of the challenges facing businesses, especially in the hospitality sector, there's a change in buying behaviour and the VAT problem, we have to face these challenges." She also stressed that it's important to support local businesses and to shop local.
Ending the discussion Goldsboro said "we need a Fianna Fáil TD in South Tipperary. Today's the day that we start our campaign."
