LATEST: Old nun's graveyard in Tipperary restored and given new gate entrance

Well done to all involved in the restoration of the old nun’s graveyard in the Convent grounds on Church Avenue.
Built in 1872 by the Mercy Sisters who came to Templemore in 1863, the old convent has been used in the last few years by some Ukrainian families fleeing the horrors of war in their homeland.
The recent project has now separated the graveyard from the convent grounds and opened a new gate entrance on Church Avenue.
The preservation of the graveyard is significant and retains an important part of the Heritage of Templemore.
