The proposed works also include a single-storey link structure and a new laundry room extension.

A planning application has been submitted to Tipperary County Council for a significant home extension and renovation project at a residence in Coleraine, Cashel.

The applicants, John and Marie Carey, are seeking permission to demolish part of their existing home — specifically a walk-in wardrobe and home office — to make way for a new one-and-a-half storey extension.

The proposed works also include a single-storey link structure and a new laundry room extension.

In addition to the new construction, the Careys are also seeking retention permission for an existing garage and store located on the property.

The plans involve associated siteworks and updates to drainage infrastructure.

The development is planned at their address in Coleraine, Cashel, and is currently under consideration by the local authority.

Local residents or interested parties can view the application details and make submissions or observations through the Tipperary County Council planning portal and the council has until June 11 to make its decision.
