Rest in Peace

Holycross Notes

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mary Butler (née Maher), ‘Stella Maris’, Bohernacrusha and formerly of Beakstown.

A lady of great faith, Mary had tremendous dedication to the Abbey spending many happy hours there in devotion, polishing the silverware or arranging flowers for the altar.

Mary’s garden was her pride and joy and anyone passing by her house could see for themselves the results of her endeavours. Mary was a great neighbour and friend and she loved taking off for a drive in her car to visit friends all over the country.

Predeceased by her husband John and baby Josephine and sisters Sr. Margaret, Kitty and Nellie we offer our condolences to daughters Mary, Margaret, Catherine and Teresa, sons Jim and John, sons-in-law Padraig, Brendan, T.J. and Seanie, daughters-in-law Angela and Margaret, grandchildren, brothers Paddy, Mick and Tom, sisters Bridget O’Gorman and Joan Kinane, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Peace to her kindly soul.
