Moyne National School take top prize at the AIMS Choral Festival

The school were thrilled to win the Biddy Maguire Cup in the Junior Chorus Competition

Moyne National School were delighted to be announced as winners of the Biddy Maguire Cup in the Junior Chorus Competition at the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Friday, May 16.

Singing in 2 part harmony, the Moyne NS choir performed the well known song, Caledonia, along with a great version of Whisper.

Competing against schools from Wexford, Waterford and Dublin, it was a wonderful achievement for a small rural school in Mid-Tipperary to sweep the boards.

Special thanks must go to Geraldine Delaney, herself a past pupil of Moyne NS, who accompanied the choir with such aplomb.
