Much-loved Tipperary school caretaker announces his retirement

Monty Franks retires as caretaker of Coláiste Phobal
Monty Franks, caretaker of Coláiste Phobal, Roscrea, has retired from his post.
Monty began working as a caretaker in the school following its opening in 1999.
From caretaking duties, to badminton, to plumbing, decoration and IT, Monty could turn his hand to it all, an ardent Offaly supporter and a wonderful colleague to have, the school says.
They say both staff, students and management are sorry to see him go and wish him a long happy and adventure filled retirement, and thank him for his 25 years in the school.
