2. Cathal Barrett Rating: 5/10 We all know what Barrett is capable of, but his rashness came back to haunt him again on Tuesday. He can be unfairly picked out for cautions in games, and was perhaps the victim of that again after a 20 plus man pushing match and was somehow cherry picked for a yellow, but his second yellow was from an unnecessary challenge. A player of his experience needs to be smarter in those moments.

3. Michael Breen Rating: 7/10 A much anticipated outing for Breen at full back, he acquitted himself well on the night. DJ Foran won an early free, but Breen was solid, albeit there was little action in his sector. More data needed on this experiment.

4. Gavin Ryan Rating: 7/10 Like Breen, Ryan did well on the night on his debut. He is an assured hurler and came out with ball on a number of occasions. In a position where Tipp are very hard up for options, a number of good games from him here would be most welcomed.

5. Dan McCormack Rating: 6/10 Reverting to a position more familiar to him at club level, McCormack didn't look particularly comfortable in this match. Put in his usual big shift but made some poor decisions on the ball at times.
