The contractor carrying out the extensive upgrade of the N24 in Carrick-on-Suir town has issued a notice advising motorists travelling through the town that the next stage of road surfacing from the Maxol Service Station to the Ash Park Junction commences on Monday.

Glas said the road surfacing on this section of the N24 in Carrick will take approximately two weeks to complete.

"Drivers are advised to proceed with extra caution during this period and expect further traffic disruption," said a Glas spokesperson.

"We apologize for any inconvenience caused. However there is an end in sight following completion of these works and we appreciate your patience throughout."
