Norman - son of Liam and Maureen O'Brien - celebrates ten years in business in Cahir

This week on I am delighted to be joined by Norman O'Brien of O'Brien's Butchers in Cahir, county Tipperary, who is celebrating ten years in his own business serving the people of Cahir.

Norman is a son of Liam and Maureen O'Brien of Scart, Bansha. 

Norman has been working as a Butcher for Twenty-Nine Years. He originally spent eight years working in Co-Op in Cahir, the final three as a Butcher and then he spent Sixteen years as a Butcher in Supervalu in Cahir before he established his own business. Norman has now spent the last Ten years working for himself, with his shop located on Castle Street in Cahir.

There is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere the moment you enter the shop with Norman always having a kind word for everyone. 

Norman is a stockist of are all types of beef, chicken, lamb and pork products, with all products traced from farm to fork. Everything found in the store is sourced and produced locally.

Norman also creates a wide variety of homemade dishes.

Some of the mouth-watering dishes include beef stir-fry, chicken stir-fry, homemade onion rings, vol-au-vents, chicken kievs, steak mince, chicken pieces, rib burgers, lamb and pork chops and much more. It is a store with something for everyone's tastes. 

Norman also supplies potatoes, vegetables, honey, homemade tarts and free-range eggs. His 'Deal of the Week' offers are a firm favourite for many local people. 

Norman can supply all the meats needed for all types of occasions including parties, barbecues, Holy Communions, Confirmations and all of life's other main events.

O'Brien's Butcher's is open six days a week.

Norman is usually in the store at 7am and the doors open at 9am until 6pm daily.
