Revealed: Planning lodged for alterations to 59-bedroom extension to Tipperary nursing home

The new application will increase the bedroom numbers of the proposed extension to 62-bedrooms
Planning has been lodged for alterations to a 59-bedroom extension to a popular Tipperary nursing home.
Bushy Park Nursing Home Ltd has made the application to Tipperary County Council.
The development address is at Bushy Park, Nursing Home, Borrisokane, county Tipperary.
The applications seeks permission for alterations to a previously approved permission for a 59-bedroom part two-storey extension to the existing nursing home to include a first-floor plant room on the northern (right) side of the original approved single-storey portion of the extension.
It also includes a first-floor extension on the southern (left) side of the original approved single-storey portion of the extension - which will increase the bedroom numbers of the proposed extension to 62-bedrooms.
A retention permission has also been made for an increase in the width of the northern ground floor wing extension extending into the inner courtyard, the retention of a minor increase in the overall footprint of the approved extension necessitated by building control applications (and permission for the corresponding increase on first-floor level) and associated site works.
A decision is due by the council on July 29.
